The journey was very scenic and we were all thankful for the air conditioning. We were reminded each time we stepped out of the van how hot it was (30C). We got across the border relatively easy though I had to hand over another $6USD to the nice customs man.
Conversation on the way revolved around our two drivers, George and Dave (thanks guys!), assuring us that their vision was good for driving but not so good for reading
Snacks along the way included trail mix, carrots, grapes and Ibuprofen (our favorite and vast quantities are sure to be consumed over the next few days!). Nancy divulged the secret to her champions diet... ice cream and pie in large quantities :)
After check-in we had a late dinner at Marie Callender's (the famous pie maker), Nancy gorged on one of the famous pies (pic to follow), she'd already downed a huge ice cream earlier in the day - how she keeps so slim I don't know :) Of course, she doesn't have to race tomorrow so she can afford to indulge a little.

Events tomorrow: Dave and I have our 800m heats at lunchtime. Thursday's weather forecast is for 30C and thundershowers ...perfect! Nancy and Kim get to rest, though I'm sure they will manage to squeeze in a few workouts.Woz

Hey Woz that's really funny...my giggles helped me feel better after a nearly-sleepless night.
You obviously don't need to read my book which is about putting "Spunk & Bite" into writing.
